Our programs
Care from the first hour to full recovery.
Four programs, one path: we find injured children, pay for their treatment and stay with them until they recover.
The challenge
An injury should never decide a child’s future.
The crisis in Meme Division has forced many families from their homes. When a child is hurt, a family that has lost its home and its income often cannot pay a hospital, so treatment waits. An injury left untreated can stay with a child for life.
We aim to start treatment within 48 hours of finding an injured child.
ICCF pays the hospital directly for whatever care the child needs, and stays with the family until the child has recovered. Our staff approve every payment, and our Board checks the accounts.
Our programs
Emergency care
Every hour counts, and families often can’t pay before care starts.
When a volunteer finds an injured child, we aim to start treatment within 48 hours.
Found and recorded
A volunteer or staff member records the case in the app, so no child is lost between messages.
Urgent cases first
Urgent cases are marked at once and come first on every list.
To a partner hospital
We arrange the child’s care at one of our partner hospitals.

Hospital treatment
Treatment stops when a family’s money runs out.
We pay partner hospitals for consultations, X-rays, surgery and medicine.
Any injury
We pay for treatment whatever the injury, from the first consultation to full recovery.
Paid directly
We pay the hospital, never the family, so every franc reaches treatment.
Two people sign
Our staff approve every payment, and two people sign for it.
Recovery and follow-up
Recovery doesn’t end when a child leaves hospital.
We stay with the family after treatment, with follow-up visits until the child has recovered.
Follow-up visits
We visit the family after treatment to see how the child is healing.
Guardians kept informed
The child’s guardian hears from us at each step, by WhatsApp.
Closed only when recovered
We close a case only when the child has recovered.
